Hi,
Are you using WIA? It's used for capturing images from cameras and scanners. If you're not using it, disable this service. I suspect you're on a domain, as that is where frs monitor is normally used (and you'd probably need to be the network admin to disable it).

Perfect. DOn't really know why this cropped up all of a sudden but this did work :)
I just wish I had checked the Services earlier.

Click Start and type Services. Right Click the resulting Services under Programs and select Run As Administrator. In the Services window, scroll down to Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) and double click this item. Click the Stop Button and set the Start Up Type to Disabled.
